Sociology Area of Concentration within the A.A. in Social Sciences
The Sociology Area of Concentration within the A.A. in Social Sciences is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university. Program majors study various societies and learn about human interaction as well as learn methods of effective communication on how the discipline contributes to an understanding of the social world. Students will develop sociological knowledge, skills, and values that can be applied in transfer programs and various occupations.  *This degree can be completed entirely online.

Frederick County Public School students are eligible to receive free tuition and fees through Dual Enrollment at FCC for some courses taken during Fall or Spring semesters. FCPS students participating in dual enrollment may obtain required textbooks and materials at the FCC bookstore at no cost to the student. Students should speak with their high school counselor first if they plan to enroll in FCC courses or programs.
