FCC Student Orientation

Welcome to FCC! We look forward to meeting you as you get started on your journey here!

Your next step is  our two-part Orientation:

  1. Complete the online Go2Orientation before attending an advising session.
  2. Advising and Registration: Before you enroll in classes, you are strongly encouraged to meet with your assigned Academic Advisor to go over your pathway.  The best way to do this?  Attend a Compass Day!  At this event, you will:
    • Explore the different resources and support services we have at the College
    • Tour our beautiful campus
    • Get a swag bag
    • Meet your advisor and other students in your major
    • Discuss career and transfer options
    • Finalize your schedule and sign up for classes!

Orientation

Go2Orientation  is a convenient, easy-to-navigate virtual orientation program that all students should complete before starting your first semester. Through videos, links, and clear explanations, Go2Orientation  gives new students the in-depth information you need to be successful at FCC.  Take your time going through it, and you can always return to Go2Orientation  to review any part.

Compass Days and Advising

Once you have completed Go2Orientation, you should meet with an academic advisor! During August, Career & Academic Planning Services (CAPS) will be offering in-person walk-in advising or virtual walk-in advising, no appointments will be available. For more information, please see the CAPS webpage. Student-athletes should contact Natalia Woods, Athletic Academic Support Advisor, at [email protected].
