What is CLEP?
CLEP is a series of examinations that allow individuals to earn college credit for what they know, regardless of where they learned it. CLEP is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program in the United States. CLEP examinations are all 90 minutes except for the English Composition which is 2 hours.
Note: FCC does not accept all CLEP test for credit.
Register for your CLEP
Create an account at https://clepportal. collegeboard.org/myaccount Once you have registered for your test, contact the Testing Center to pay your $30 pre-registration fee and schedule your appointment. Be sure to indicate your military status, as you may be eligible for a pre-registration fee waiver. Bring a copy of your CLEP Exam Registration Ticket to your appointment. You must have this ticket in order to test.

Freshman Year for Free
Take your CLEP tests for free at the FCC Testing Center through Modern States. Modern States offers a new, high-quality path to free college credit. The goal of the program, dubbed “Freshman Year for Free,” is to make college more accessible and affordable for high school students, college students and adult learners, including active duty military personnel, their families, and veterans.
