Jefferson Hall Temporary Office Locations


Jefferson Hall will undergo a renovation this spring to reconfigure the space and better meet the needs of the programs housed within the building. The reconfiguration will enable the College to better serve prospective and enrolled students.
 
The renovated space will house functions including Registration & Records, Admissions, Counseling & Advising, Career Services, Transfer Services, Financial Aid & Scholarships, Finance/Student Accounts, and Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) Registration.  Plans for the space include an information desk, open computer lab, waiting areas, offices, workrooms, meeting rooms, staff lounges, and other support facilities and spaces.
 
The reconfiguration comes as a result of a thorough and systematic evaluation of space needs, looking at current and future programs, processes, and systems of organization. The goals of the project are to focus on meeting student needs, improve efficiencies, maximize existing space, incorporate technology, incorporate clear signage, and ensure a consistent look for the entire building.
 
FCC staff and all functions currently housed within Jefferson Hall will be moved to other areas of the College, primarily the Student Center and Linganore Hall, beginning in early to mid-April. Construction for the reconfiguration is scheduled to begin June 1, 2018, and is expected to be completed at the end of December 2018, ready for the spring 2019 semester.
