Earn a High School Diploma

The state of Maryland offers two diploma options for adults and out-of-school youth:

Option 1: Pass the GED® Test

Take and pass all four sections of the GED® test (Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies) and receive a Maryland high school diploma.

Option 2: Complete the National External Diploma Program® (NEDP)

Earn a traditional high school diploma through the innovative NEDP approach. Qualified participants can work from wherever they have access to a computer. The program is flexible and confidential and can be completed in 6 to 12 months. NEDP allows participants to draw on their life experiences to demonstrate high school level skills. We do not offer NEDP at FCC. Click "Find NEDP Programs" below to locate your nearest NEDP program.
