Maryland Governor Wes Moore has signed a proclamation declaring April as National Community College Month.
 
The proclamation highlights the fact that FCC and the other 15 community colleges in the State of Maryland respond to the educational, vocational, and cultural needs of their home counties and together enroll over half of Maryland residents pursuing undergraduate education. The proclamation also emphasized the role of Maryland’s community colleges in training students to fill skilled positions in the state’s workforce, preparing them for professional licenses and certifications, helping them continue their education at four-year institutions, and offering enrichment programs that improve community and quality of life.
