DUE TO THE COVID 19 VIRUS pandemic, our clinical partners require proof of the COVID VACCINATION. Exemptions are not allowed by the clinical partners. At this time, you will not be able to complete the surgical technology program without proof of the vaccination.
ST Application Tips
with the college as a FCC student and select or change your major to the ST Certificate or ST AAS degree.
2. Send your OFFICIAL (Transfer) TRANSCRIPTS for all of the courses to be transferred into the ST program
to the FCC REGISTRAR as soon as you apply, You may need to send transcripts for any additional courses taken after you apply All courses for the ST program must be a “C” grade or higher. Refer to the Point Scale.
3. Complete 28 credits of prerequisites before beginning the SURG courses.
4. Other requirements, prior to beginning clinical rotations in November, or March include: Proof of Immunizations, History and Physical examination, American Heart Association CPR for the Healthcare Provider, criminal background check, drug screening, and fingerprinting. CPR courses fill up quickly, so please register for this training soon. Once you are in the program, course fees will pay for the background check and drug screening.
**Note:Anyone on the Waiting List should attend Orientation.
If you have been accepted into the Program and do not attend Orientation then your seat will be offered to those on the Waiting List who attend orientation.
