The Mid-Atlantic Center for Emergency Management (MACEM) at Frederick Community College (FCC) provides educational opportunities, career training and innovative programming to emergency management professionals in every phase at every level in the industry.
With national recognition for programming, MACEM partners with FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute (EMI) as the sole provider of college credit for the institute's Independent Study Program (ISP).
FCC applies Quality Matters standards to the Emergency Management AAS/Certificate program courses. This nationally recognized Peer Review protocol is followed when creating and monitoring online and hybrid courses. Look for the QM logo. Learn more at www.qualitymatters.org.
A fully-accredited college, FCC has secured articulation agreements to provide program participants with opportunities to transfer to Northwestern State University of Louisiana, University of Maryland University College (UMUC) or Charter Oak State College in New Britain, Connecticut.
