Credit Courses and Programs
FCC offers you educational programs for credit that are not limited by the borders of our campus. Through distance learning, you can take single courses and complete degree programs from FCC and other institutions. You can take distance education courses from your home or office using the Internet, cable TV, and other technologies. The advantage of distance learning is that it enables you to learn when it's convenient for you, and on-campus attendance is occassional.
Frederick Community College now offers dozens of courses via the Internet. You’ll need Internet access with an Internet browser, and CD-Rom capabilities on your computer for some classes. You should expect to spend as much time in your online courses as in a campus course.
Noncredit Courses and Programs
FCC's continuing education/customized training division offers a range of noncredit distance education courses in business, management, and technology. These courses do not grant college credits, and are designed to meet the training needs of today's workplace.
