Visit Frederick Designates $2,000 for HCTI Student Scholarships
 
Visit Frederick recently designated $2,000 to go to the FCC Hospitality, Culinary, and Tourism Institute (HCTI) scholarship fund.
 
As part of the annual Frederick’s Oktoberfest, Visit Frederick won the Oktoberfest Games and got to donate the $2,000 prize to a Frederick non-profit organization of their choice. We thank Visit Frederick for recognizing the importance of the HCTI program and helping us provide scholarships for students.
 
“As Frederick’s designated tourism marketing organization, we recognize the vital role that Frederick Community College plays in preparing students,” said Melissa Joseph Muntz, Marketing and Communications Manager at Visit Frederick. “The quality of work performed by graduates of the HCTI program will directly impact the impression a visitor has of our area. We are thrilled to be able to impact the program and to show our appreciation for the efforts of the College.”
 
The check was presented to HCTI Program Manager Elizabeth DeRose along with HCTI students at a recent Rotary Club of Carroll Creek meeting.
