FCC Students Invited to Participate in Statewide Virtual Transfer Fair
02/16/2021

Frederick Community College students are invited to participate in a statewide Virtual Transfer Fair from February 22 to February 25, 2021.

“The Virtual Transfer Fair allows students to explore options at more than 60 colleges and universities without leaving their home,” said FCC President Elizabeth Burmaster. “This is a great opportunity for our students who are interested in continuing their education after their time at FCC.”

During the Virtual Transfer Fair, students can hear from college and university representatives about the topics below.

The Application and Transfer Process – Students can find out more about the admissions process and how to transfer credits already earned.

Scholarships and Financial Aid – Students can discover the different types of financial aid, need-based and merit-based scholarships, and the importance of completing a FAFSA.

Majors and Career Connections – Students can join a conversation about the academic options and experiences, including honors and learning communities.

Campus Life and Student Involvement – Students can learn about living on campus, student life (fraternities, sororities, professional organizations, and community-based programs), and finding the right fit.

The fair will include daytime sessions between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and evening sessions between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

This event is free and open to all Maryland community college students. It is being sponsored by the Maryland Community College Transfer & Articulation Affinity Group.
