FCC Hosting Community Celebration October 16

Frederick Community College will hold FCC Fest, a free community celebration and College showcase, on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, from 1:00-3:30 p.m.

FCC Fest is free and open to the public and will be held in front of Linganore Hall on the Opossumtown Pike campus.

It will feature live music from the popular 80s tribute band, The Reagan Years, food for purchase from local vendors, family activities, campus tours, information about FCC programs, and free desserts from FCC culinary students.

“People tell us how much Frederick Community College has changed their life,” said FCC President Elizabeth Burmaster. “Most county residents know someone – a family member, coworker, neighbor, or friend – who has attended FCC. At FCC, we recognize that we would not be where we are today without our community’s support. FCC Fest allows us to come together as students, alumni, employees, community members, and College stakeholders to celebrate the work we do together to make Frederick County a vibrant and exciting place to live and work.”

During FCC Fest, FCC Culinary students will provide homemade pumpkin desserts, free while they last.

FCC Fest is planned to be an outdoor event, but activities will be moved to the Athletics Center in the event of inclement weather.

For more information, see the FCC Fest event page.
