FCC and Harrisburg University Sign Biotechnology Articulation Agreement
08/14/2020
Harrisburg University of Science and Technology (HU) and Frederick Community College (FCC) have signed an articulation agreement that grants graduates of the FCC Biotechnology program access to Harrisburg University’s Biotechnology Bachelor of Science program.

Thanks to the 2+2 agreement, students with a satisfactory grade point average who earn an associate degree in biotechnology will be guaranteed admission to Harrisburg University’s Biotechnology program. The agreement marks the second accord HU has signed with FCC in the past several weeks.

HU and FCC also inked an agreement that grants students who complete an Associate in Science degree in nursing and/or passed the NCLEX licensing exam acceptance to Harrisburg University’s RN-to-BSN program.

“We are thrilled to partner with Frederick Community College to provide a pathway for FCC graduates to continue their education in our Biotechnology program,” Said Dr. Eric Darr, Harrisburg University President. “The agreement provides students the opportunity of planning a total bachelor’s degree program with HU as they graduate from FCC.”

FCC students transferring into HU’s Biotechnology undergraduate program will enjoy the same benefits as current HU students and will be provided equal opportunities in applying for financial aid and in the award and distribution of funds. FCC students transferring to HU will also receive consideration for campus housing on the same basis as current HU students.

“FCC prioritizes providing our students and graduates access to unique articulation agreements so they can earn their four-year degree more easily and in less time,” said FCC President Elizabeth Burmaster. “We are proud of our growing partnership with Harrisburg University and are excited to offer this opportunity to our biotechnology students.”
