Questions? Call 301.846.2619
- Need help with an essay for your English class?
- Have questions about how to write a research paper?
- Wondering whether the grammar and punctuation in your paper are correct?
- Looking for a quiet computer lab on campus where you can get some school work done?
Then consider visiting the Writing Center, in the Library Building, Room L-106. Our mission is to enable students to become more effective writers, readers, and critical thinkers. The staff specializes in helping students learn how to develop, organize, and proofread their own writing, or make sense of reading assignments. They ask clarifying questions, discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the writing, and ensure that students are actively revising and editing their own writing.
No appointment is necessary for these one-on-one sessions. Just drop in for a free, 30-minute session; students with accommodations through the Services for Students with Disabilities office may have up to an hour.
