Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported Clutch the Future 2012. The purse auction's third year was a great success with
tickets selling out prior to the event. Proceeds totaling more than $44,000 will fund scholarships at Frederick Community College and help support the Woman to Woman Mentoring Program of Frederick County.

A panel discussion about conducting a job search with human resources, career services and workforce services experts, covering topics from resume writing to interviewing and professional etiquette to negotiating salaries. Jessica Hibbard, communications director for the Frederick Chamber of Commerce, will moderate the discussion.

This fun and highly interactive session will provide attendees with opportunities to
- increase their comfort and confidence for networking,
- establish rapport with others,
- enhance listening and conversational skills, and
- understand good social etiquette.

Her self-deprecating humor and ability to connect with audiences helps to make training programs, conferences and retreats memorable. A master storyteller, Julie has trained thousands of individuals and uses a unique blend of experience and theatrics to bring her presentations to life.

Her training organization, Julie Gaver Training & Development, LLC, helps to create work environments that foster higher levels of positive attitude, creative thinking, teamwork and productivity. She has worked with some of the most prestigious and successful firms in the country.

Join the fun at Frederick's premier and fabulous purse auction to benefit student scholarships and the Woman to Woman Mentoring Program! The third annual Clutch the Future auction is planned for Saturday, March 17, 2012. Visit the website www.clutchthefuture.com for more details and photos of purse donations.

If you have new or gently-used purses to donate, call 301.846.2438 to arrange for a pick up.

Proceeds benefit the FCC Foundation Scholarship Fund and the Woman to Woman Mentoring program. Tickets are just $35 ($30 if purchased before February 14, 2012) and include wine and hors d'ouevres.

Healthy Relationships

Frederick Community College campus, Conference Center, E-126 ABC.

Presenter Tammy Keener, community educator at Heartly House, will discuss the topic of Healthy Relationships, including the importance of communication, appropriate expectations, and establishing boundaries. The program is sponsored by the Woman to Woman Mentoring Program of Frederick County and is free and open to the public. Heartly House serves Frederick County residents who have been impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.
