Apply to the College
Submit an application online at www.frederick.edu.(Enroll & Register/ Apply to the College) or from the Welcome and Registration Center in Administration Hall (A-102). There is no fee to apply to the college. Click here apply now! -
Apply for Financial Aid
Frederick Community College participates in a wide range of federal and state financial aid programs that include grants, loans, and scholarships. Complete the FCC financial aid application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine your eligibility to receive aid. You can apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov or stop by the Financial Aid Office (A-105) to pick up an application. New high school graduates, or students who have graduated from high school within the current year, should have an official transcript sent from their high school (see note regarding transcripts below). In addition, students who achieved the required scores on the SAT or ACT college entrance exams should submit their scores to be exempted from placement testing, as follows:

Print a copy of your ACT scores (http://www.actstudent.org/ ) or SAT scores (http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/scores.html ) to submit!
New students who have previously attended college may have transferable college credit and should submit official copies of transcripts from all colleges attended for evaluation. Transferable college credit can exempt you from placement tests as follows:

*students are strongly encouraged to take the math assessment if entering a math or science curriculum.
Please note: While an Advisor can work from an unofficial copy of transcripts to determine if placement testing is needed, to receive credit for prior college work, an official transcript must be submitted.

- Take Placement Tests
All students, unless exempted as described above, are required to complete placement tests. College-level reading, writing, and mathematics skills are required for students to be successful in college coursework. Skills are assessed, prior to meeting with an Advisor, to assure proper placement of students in their first courses.
Students must submit an application to the College prior to testing and must bring a valid photo ID with them to the Testing Center, RoomL-104, in the Library Building. Testing is given on a walk-in basis, no appointment is necessary.
Testing Center hours are:
Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 8 pm
Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday 9 am - noon
