Academic Progress Review & Academic Standing
Academic Progress Review and Academic Standing – how does the College review my progress and what determines my academic standing?
Students who are working toward a degree or certificate, or who are enrolled as Open Campus, will have an Academic Progress Review after attempting a total of 12 cumulative credits to determine their current Academic Standing and to identify and help students who are making little or no progress.
All courses attempted by a student – including developmental courses and courses in which the student earns a grade of withdraw, audit, incomplete, or in progress – are included in Academic Progress Review.
Two indicators are used in Academic Progress Review:
earning a 2.0 GPA and having 50% successful completion of credits
Grades of “A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” “S,” or “P” are considered successful completion of credit |
Grades of “W,” “F,” “AU,” “I,” “Z,” or “U” are considered unsuccessful completion of credit |
