Frederick Community College's golf team has been Region and JUCO champions in 1987, 1988, 1991, 1994, 1995, 1998 and 2001. The team has competed in the national tournament seven times, finishing as high as sixth.
Bud Nason became Head Coach of the FCC Golf team in 2009. Coach of the Mt. St. Mary's Women's team from 1998-2009 and a member of the US Golf Teaching Federation, Bud has earned a Master's Degree in Psychology from Johns Hopkins and an MBA from The Mount. | |
 Assistant Coach Kevin Daly also joined the FCC staff in 2009. A native of Ireland, he has been a Class A member of the PGA of Europe since 1970. Winner of 16 PGA Europe tour events, Kevin played Ireland's first-ever Skins Game in 1992 and holds 10 course records throughout Europe. He assisted Nason at Mt. St. Mary's from 2006-08 and is an instructor at Westminster Island Green. |
