New students who have previously attended college may have transferable college credit and should submit official copies of transcripts from all colleges attended for evaluation. Transferable college credit can exempt you from placement tests as follows:
| If you have completed | You are exempt from |
| English Composition | Reading & Writing tests |
| 12 college credits including at least 3 credits of General Education courses, but not English Composition | Reading test |
| College level math | Math test |
Please note: While an advisor can work from an unofficial copy of transcripts to determine if placement testing is needed, an official transcript must be submitted to receive credit for prior college work.
