Welcome to the Frederick Community College Dining Services Department.

Our mission is to provide premier dining services to the college community and campus guests through outstanding quality and choice of food with superb customer service.

Dining services operates five different venues on campus including the Cougar Grille, Smooth Joe’s, Sara Lee Sandwich Shoppe, A Taste for All Seasons Catering and vending. The management office is located in the Classroom/Student Center (Building H).   For further information on any of our services or to book catering services call Donna Sowers at 301.846.2466 or Sandy Toms at 301.624.2738 or drop by our office.  Suggestions or comments on all venues are always welcome.

FCC Dining Services Meal Cards
You can purchase meal cards for any denomination five dollars and up.  For every $50 you put on your meal card you will receive a coupon for $5.00 off any purchase at the Cougar Grille, Smooth Joe’s or Sara Lee Sandwich Shoppe.  Meal cards are valid at the Cougar Grille, Smooth Joe’s or the Sara Lee Sandwich Shoppe.  See the cashier at all three locations for further details and to purchase your meal cards.

Cougar Grille

The Cougar Grille is located in the Classroom/Student Center (Building H).

Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:30pm
Fridays 8:00am – 1:30pm

Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 1:30pm
Closed Fridays June & July

The Cougar Grille is open to all students, faculty, staff and the general public.

The Cougar Grille is open for breakfast from 8:00am – 10:30am featuring made-to-order omelets, waffles and breakfast sandwiches.

The Grille Features 6 areas:

Grill
Stop by the grille for one of our many made-to-order sandwiches featuring – 6 oz steakburgers (plain, with cheese or with cheese and bacon), cheese steak subs, philly cheese steak subs, grilled cheese, boca burgers, gardenburgers, turkey burgers, chicken tenders, French fries, Sweet Potato Fries and Onion Rings.  Check out our featured sandwich every day at the grill.

Chef’s Alley
Chef’s Alley features entrees prepared right in front of you.  It also features complete meals that feature chef prepared entrees and side dishes.

Deli
Custom made sandwiches and subs on your choice of country white, whole wheat, and rye bread or French or Wheat Sub Rolls. Select from Oven Roasted Turkey Breast, Virginia Baked Ham, Black Angus Roast Beef, House Made Chicken or Tuna Salad.  Look for our designer deli features of the day.

Salads & More
Make your Own Custom Made Salad, Have a Hot Cup of Soup or a Slice of Fresh Made Pizza

Grab & Go
Short on Time?  Stop by our Grab & Go Case and select a house made salad, wrap or sandwich, have a cool yogurt parfait or pudding, pickup a Sabra Hummus cup with Pretzel Chips, check out our ever changing selection.

Beverages
Stop by for a quick drink or complete your meal with a cup or bottle of Coke, Minute Maid Juice, cup of coffee or cappuccino and more.

Dine in our spacious, well lit dining room and enjoy your favorite style of seating from booths to dining tables to high top tables to comfortable lounge seating.  When you’re hungry the Cougar Grille is conveniently located in the center of campus only a few steps away from your class.

Smooth Joe's

Located in the Cougar Grille dining room
Open: Fall & Spring Semesters
Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 8:00pm
Friday 7:30am – 1:30pm

Summers: Closed

Smooth Joe’s is the newest of the dining service venues.  Smooth Joe’s  features coffees, espresso, cappuccino, lattes, flavored lattes, chai teas, hot chocolate, hot teas, iced lattes, Big Train Smoothies and Naked Juices.  Add one of our pastries with your drink – choose from muffins, apple fritters, cinnamon rolls, scones, donuts, éclairs, danish, cookies and more.

Short on time – grab a drink and pair it with a yogurt parfait or for lunch or dinner grab a salad or wrap made fresh in our kitchen.  Check the menu every day for our hot menu items of the day.

Located on the 2nd Floor of C Building in the B/C Knuckle

Closed Summers

Tired, hungry, need a quick bite to eat?  Then the Sara Lee Sandwich Shoppe is the place to go.  Limited seating is available.  The Sandwich Shoppe features custom-made sandwiches, specialty subs and wraps gently warmed through our oven, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, grab-n-go salads and munchies, Frito Lay snacks, soups, pizza and beverages featuring Coca-Cola, Minute Made, fresh brewed iced tea and coffee.

Catering A Taste for All Seasons Catering services special events for internal and external groups using campus facilities.  A Taste for All Seasons Catering offers everything from coffee service to boxed lunches to fully catered buffets for groups of 10 – 1000.  Phone Donna Sowers at 301.846.2466 or by email or phone Sandy Toms at 301.624.2738 or by email for further information. Vending

Vending is managed by the dining services department, but is maintained by Coca-Cola and Mid-Maryland Vending.  Vending machines  are conveniently located in the Conference Center, F Building, Field House, Library Building, B/C Knuckle, H Building and the Monroe Center.  If you encounter problems with a machine please notify the dining services management office at 301.846.2466 or 301.624.2738 so that a repair call may be placed.  Refunds are available at the Cougar Grille in H Building during their operating hours.
