Why Give
Joe Campbell s professor of art, teaching at FCC since 1982. He and his wife, Ruth, started the Arts and Visual Communications Scholarship Fund in 2002.
"Providing a scholarship is the right thing to do. It's a no-brainer. But I'm most proud of the fact that other faculty members contribute to the fund, too. Scholarships are like the arts. It's not always easy to measure their effect on a community, but they have a huge impact on our attitudes and on the quality of life we enjoy. I've been on the scholarship selection committee for years. When you see the obstacles that some people have to overcome to be students, it just makes you want to cry." - Joe Campbell
