Windswept Landscapes
Emerging Artist Faculty Laura Armstrong will perform an eclectic mix of character pieces showcasing a wide range of sonorities from various members of the woodwind family. Assisted by veteran faculty member Dr. John Wickelgren on piano, this dynamic duo will explore Daniel Dorff’s The Seven Chakras; Darius Milhaud’s Scaramouche; Alexander Glazunov’s Chant du Menestrel; Wayne Siegel’s Jackdaw, and Adrienne Albert’s Global Warming in an arrangement commissioned by Dr. Armstrong.  This music is sure to appeal with references to crows, computers, and scoundrels, oh my!

Three Four One 
Three of FCC’s esteemed piano faculty, Suk-Yi Hyun, Alice Lee and John Wickelgren, will showcase music written for four hands on one piano. This promises to be a fun, family-friendly event featuring Mozart’s Sonata in D major; Schubert’s Fantasia in F Minor; Dvor├ík’s Slavonic Dances and Poulenc’s Sonata for Piano Four Hands. This dynamic trio will touch our hearts and tickle our funny bone with these remarkable works.
