Police and correctional officers, crime scene investigators, and legal assistants can begin their careers at FCC. Partnerships with the Frederick City Police Department, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, and the local Police Academy prepare students for immediate entry into law enforcement careers. The associate’s degree in criminal justice enables students to work in correctional settings or pursue more education at four-year colleges. Certification through the legal assisting program prepares students for immediate employment with licensed attorneys, or students my earn an associate’s degree and transfer to another college to complete a bachelor’s degree.
