Honors
Welcome to FCC Honors
FCC Honors is designed for students who want more out of their college learning experience. Small classes (10-15 students), close interaction with superb faculty, and academic activities (e.g., research projects, field trips, and guest speakers) inside and outside the classroom create such opportunities.
Those who qualify for the Honors College (our academic program) are challenged by courses and co-curricular activities to think critically and engage the world around them.
Honors classes, designated “H” after the course number, emphasize higher reading levels, critical thinking, writing skills, and research projects. Students who complete 12 honors credits can graduate from the Honors College.
Leadership and service activities through the Honors Student Association and Phi Theta Kappa are open to all FCC students. Earn a certificate in leadership or service and enhance your credentials for transfer or scholarship applications.
Your academic path is but one of many choices you will make in your lifetime. To paraphrase poet Robert Frost, honors is “the road less traveled,” but it is a journey that makes all the difference.
Every job is a self-portrait of the person who did it. Autograph your work with excellence.
