Welcome
Dear Prospective Respiratory Care Student,
Thank you for your interest in the Respiratory Care Program at Frederick Community College. Let me assure you that the FCC Respiratory Care Program is an excellent choice as the place to begin your education toward your new career.

The faculty are active registered respiratory therapists. Our personal interest in our students, commitment to small class size, and many contacts within the respiratory care community provide you with excellent resources to achieve your career goals.
The program consists of both a classroom component and hands-on clinical experience. The hands-on element of the program includes clinical rotations through different healthcare settings, including Frederick Memorial Hospital, Johns Hopkins, St. Agnes Hospital, Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and the Western Maryland Center.
Respiratory Care is one of the fastest growing healthcare professions. As we say in the profession, “If you can’t breathe, nothing else matters.” Graduates from our program find immediate employment in a wide variety of settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, and home health.
Admission to the program is by application only. The application is due in our office by June 1 of the year you are seeking admission. You can download an application here or call me at 301-846-2528 for more information. Contact us and get started on your new career today.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Sincerely,
Rhonda Patterson, MLS, RRT
