Gerontology

FCC’s Gerontology Program provides a variety of one-day continuing education courses for the personal and professional development of people who care about older adults. Courses emphasize human development, diversity and the uniqueness of each individual as they progress through the life course.

Gerontology courses are appropriate for care providers, social workers, health professionals, business persons, and students new to the field of gerontology and others seeking to expand their knowledge of the aging process.

Most courses are eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the National Association of Social Workers. Courses may be applied to the 90 classroom-hour Certificate in Gerontology- Noncredit.

There are no upcoming Gerontology classes at this time. Please check back for updates or call Sue Adams (301.624.2732) for more information.
