Do You Love Horses?

FCC’s equine courses are intended for those who enjoy working with horses and/or would like to have an equestrian career. Learn skills that could translate into a career such as Horse Trainer, Riding Instructor or Stable Manager. Or, take these courses because of personal interest and apply the skills to the care of your own.

All courses are taught by Karen Ann Fenwick of the North Fork School of Equitation. Karen is a life-long lover of horses with more than 30 years of experience teaching others. She has worked as a riding instructor, barn manager, and camp counselor.  Currently, Karen is the owner of the North Fork School of Equitation, and she is the co-coach of the Hood College Equestrian team.

Courses are held at the North Fork School of Equitation in Jefferson, Maryland. Just twenty minutes from campus, the 100-acre facility has four barns, a 220’ by 300’ show ring, a 75’ by 150’ indoor arena, cross-country jumps, trails and open fields.
