College Night for High School Students

Time: 6:30 PM-8:30 PM FCC Field House

Frederick Community College will host admissions representatives from more than 100 colleges and universities at its annual College Night on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012. Area high school students and their parents are invited to attend the event in the Field House from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

"This is a great event for juniors and seniors to have access to a lot of information under one roof," said Marie Staley, FCC's assistant director of admissions. "There is an eclectic mix of colleges represented, and the evening offers high school students an opportunity to ask direct questions. We welcome students who plan to attend FCC and then transfer to four-year schools, as well as those who plan to leave for college right after high school."

FCC has provided College Night guides to area high schools to help students prepare for the event. The guide includes a list of the colleges that have been invited and suggests questions and criteria that students should have in hand to ask the college representatives.

More than 2,000 students and parents attended last year's College Night. FCC's Admissions Office expects another large turnout and recommends participants enter the campus's north entrance (across from Monocacy Middle School) for parking. From U.S. 15, this is the second FCC entrance on Opossumtown Pike.
